What are the differences between the free package and paid packages?

Below, you will find how the free package differs from our paid versions.

This information is for admins only.

We’ve put together a little five-minute video for you to watch, or if you would prefer, you can read the differences below.

To make you aware the free package is restrictive in terms of emails, collecting submissions, doing reviews and making decisions.

Let’s delve into the distinctions between the two packages to help you decide which option best suits your needs.

Event Setup

  • Free Package: Users on the free tier cannot add their own logo to the event details page. Additionally, they cannot access the API and cannot copy events to create new ones.
No event theme is available and it can't be used if multi-stage is required.

Paid Package: Users have the flexibility to add their own logo, utilise the API, and copy events to make things easier.

Emails

  • Free Package: Emails sent through the platform include a default email signature, and users cannot create new email templates or modify existing ones.
  • Paid Package: Users can customise the email signature and create/edit email templates according to their preferences.

Abstract Management

  • Submission Form: Free package users are limited to nine questions on the submission form but can delete and add questions within this constraint.
  • Reviewing Form: While users cannot add new questions to the reviewing form, they can edit existing questions and customise the welcome message for reviewers.
  • Reviewer Assignment: Committee members cannot assign reviewers to submissions; the auto-assign feature is unavailable in the free package and reviews are not visible to submitters.
  • Decisions Form: Users cannot add new questions to the decision form but can utilise default questions for decision-making.

Reports and Downloads

  • Free Package: Users can only download partial abstract books (can only see a preview of the first three).
  • Paid package: Allows for full access to download abstract books at any time.

Registration Feature

  • Free Package: The registration feature is not restricted, allowing users to access all its features without additional charges. However, a service fee applies for ticket sales.

You can upgrade from the free package to the paid versions at any time.

Oxford Abstracts offers a range of features and functionalities catering to both free and paid users. While the free package provides basic functionality for abstract management, the paid package offers enhanced customisation options, access to APIs, and additional features such as full access to reports and downloads.
